Our very own Municipality of Mexico, Pampanga has once again been bestowed with the 2021 Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Award.

The town is one of the ten (10) local government units in Pampanga to receive said regional award and one of the 76 recipients in Central Luzon.

The Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Audit Regional Award is conferred to local government units that showed excellent performance in the war against illegal drugs through ensuring compliance to various policies and implementation of relevant and significant drug demand and supply reduction programs.

The conduct of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Audit and conferment of award aims to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) based on existing policies, and to determine if there are innovations and banner programs or best practices in all levels. It is led and conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).
