A Meaningful National Women’s Month Celebration in the Municipality of Mexico

Women move families forward. Women build communities. Women shape the future.

The Municipality of Mexico proudly celebrated National Women’s Month under the leadership of Mayor Ruding Santos Gonzales, with the support of Vice-Mayor Doc Pangan and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan.

The celebration opened with a vibrant parade that showcased the talent, energy, and creativity of women from different barangays. It was followed by meaningful activities focused on health, livelihood, care, and empowerment.

Among the highlights of the program were the distribution of Pregnant Kits for expectant mothers, the Indak ng mga Kababaihan presentation, free massage services for municipal employees, livelihood and employment activities for women, free medical checkups and consultations, and food pack distribution for women from underserved sectors.

This celebration honored the strength, courage, and value of every woman in the community. It served as a reminder that when women are supported, families grow stronger and communities rise higher.

The program was led by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office through the leadership of MSWDO Sharmaine Pabustan-Sigua.

Mayor Ruding’s administration continues to push programs that protect women’s welfare, improve their health, strengthen their livelihood, and uphold their vital role in building a better Mexico.
