Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA): A Drug Demand Reduction Campaign
The Municipal Government of Mexico, Pampanga joins the simultaneous grand launching of the anti-drug abuse campaign “BIDA” or the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan Drug Demand Reduction Campaign” lead by Mexico Municipal Police Station headed by PLt. Col. Elias L. Tait.
BIDA is a program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to urge the filipino People to act now and join the government in advocating against illegal drugs.
The BIDA Program is a nationwide anti-illegal drugs advocacy program involving local government units (LGUs), national government agencies (NGAs), and other key sectors of the society. It will focus more on drug demand reduction and rehabilitation in the communities, underscoring the role of drug enforcement agencies including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and others.
Joining in the grand launch are Mr. Dax Nathaniel M. Bondoc, Municipal Information Officer, MLGOO VI, Ms. Rita P. Gotiangco and Hon. Carnita Idos, Barangay Chairperson, Barangay San Pablo, Zumba Dancers from Barangays San Antonio and San Pablo and members of the Task Force Kasanag.
