Guidelines on Class Suspensions Due to Heavy Rainfall

In accordance with Section IV of DepEd Order No. 37, Series of 2022, please be informed of the following guidelines on the cancellation or suspension of classes due to heavy rainfall:

Automatic Class Cancellation: All levels of classes are automatically canceled in areas where the PAGASA issues an Orange or Red Rainfall Warning. There is no need to wait for an announcement from the Mayor or Governor.

LGU-Dependent Decisions: If a Yellow Rainfall Warning is issued or if there are torrential rains without an official heavy rainfall warning, the decision to suspend classes will be made by the local Chief Executives (either the Governor or Mayor).

Parental Discretion: Parents and guardians have the final say on whether their children will attend classes, even if there is no official class suspension.
