Laput Elementary Students Empowered Through Youth Awareness Forum

Under the leadership of Mayor Ruding Santos Gonzales, the Municipality of Mexico continues to strengthen programs that protect, inform, and guide the youth.

Students from Grades 4, 5, and 6 of Laput Elementary School participated in a forum on Gender Sensitivity, Adolescent Health and Development, and Teenage Pregnancy Awareness held on March 12, 2026.

The activity provided age appropriate guidance as young learners begin to understand adolescence. Discussions focused on responsible decision making, respect, health, well being, and making informed choices.

The forum was facilitated by the Municipal Population Office headed by Sharrel Ayne V. Yabut-Santos, ensuring that learners received proper and relevant information.

This initiative was made possible through Ms. Agnes P. Dela Cruz, VAWC Officer of Laput, as part of the 18th Campaign on Violence Against Women and Their Children. Also present was Ms. Marique Garcia from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Mexico, who discussed anti bullying and the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for every child.

The Municipality also recognizes the support of Principal Mr. Danilo Y. Del Rosario for making the activity possible.
