LGU Mexico completes 2025 LGU Compliance On-Site Assessment

April 14, 2026

The Municipality of Mexico successfully completed the 2025 LGU Compliance On-Site Assessment under the Manila Bay Clean Up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation Program on April 13, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Hall.
The Regional Inter-Agency Committee led the assessment, with municipal officials, department heads, and partner agencies taking part in the activity. The assessment reviewed the municipality’s performance in environmental programs, waste management, and policy implementation.
In its early years, the Municipality of Mexico faced challenges in meeting the assessment standards, but these experiences strengthened its commitment to improve and deliver better results for the community. This year, the municipality reached a major milestone as one of the Top 20 municipalities in Central Luzon, reflecting stronger compliance, improved systems, and sustained environmental action.
This progress shows the result of firm leadership, teamwork, and the shared commitment of the local government to protect natural resources and build a cleaner community.
Under the leadership of Mayor Ruding Santos Gonzales, the Municipality of Mexico continues to move forward with focused action for a cleaner, healthier, and more responsive local government.
