Mayor Teddy Canlas Tumang Calls for an Emergency Meeting

After personally visiting and assessing the situation within his jurisdiction, the municipal mayor ordered the MDRRMC to convene to discuss the current situation and prepare the whole municipality should there be typhoons and other catastrophe that will affect the town.

The southwest monsoon enhanced by typhoon Egay affected 5,813 households/families or 26, 854 individuals. 23 out of 43 Barangays were affected by the said calamity.

Rescued residents were provided with meals and other basic needs at the Municipal Evacuation Center. Others were provided with food packs after being reported by their respective barangay councils.

During the said meeting the council have unanimously approved and adopted the Resolution No. 2023-02- A Resolution Recommending the Declaration of State of Calamity in the Municipality of Mexico, Pampanga.

Resolution No. 2023-02 and all other attachments and/or reports were transmitted at the Sangguniang Bayan of Mexico for their deliberation and approval.

The Municipal Government encourages everyone to be vigilant and always be ready.
