MEXICO MARKED THE 47th NATIONAL DISABILITY RIGHTS WEEK

𝐌𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟒𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 “𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫.”
The program featured opening messages from Ms. Sharmaine Anne Pabustan-Sigua, MSWDO, Municipal Administrator, Engr. Mark Nestor Pineda who represented Mayor Ruding Santos Gonzales, MLGOO Ms. Consesa Novio, and Vice-Mayor Doc Pangan.
PDAO Head Jonathan Panganiban introduced the newly elected Federated Officials of the Association of PWDs, followed by the Oath of Office officiated by Vice Mayor Pangan. Federated President Alejandro Maglaqui shared his message to fellow officers. Provincial PDAO Ms. Mary Ann Zamora encouraged the creation of lasting programs for PWDs and lauded the LGU of Mexico for putting their welfare at the forefront.
Vice Mayor Pangan emphasized that he and Mayor Ruding are committed to making PWD programs a daily priority, not just a highlight during special events. This dedication aims to build a community where care, accessibility, and respect guide every decision and action.
