Ecological Waste Management Ordinance

In line with the commitment of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the Municipality of Mexico, Pampanga to promote public safety, environmental protection, and community welfare, the public is hereby informed of the implementation of Municipal Ordinance No. 018-A-2025, which updates Municipal Ordinance No. 044-2016, otherwise known as the Ecological Waste Management Ordinance.

🎯 PURPOSE
This ordinance aims to:
Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all barangays
Prevent health and environmental hazards
Promote discipline and shared responsibility among residents

♻️ GUIDELINES ON WASTE SEGREGATION
– All households, establishments, and institutions are required to strictly observe proper waste segregation:
– Biodegradable waste
– Non-biodegradable waste
– Recyclable materials
– Residual and special waste

🚫 PROHIBITED ACTS
– Littering and improper disposal of garbage
– Mixing of segregated wastes
– Disposal of waste outside designated collection schedules
– Non-compliance with waste management policies

⚖️ PENALTIES
– Any person found violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be penalized in accordance with existing laws and municipal regulations.

🤝 CALL FOR COOPERATION
– The PNP and LGU strongly encourage the cooperation of the community to support environmental protection initiatives and help maintain peace, order, and public safety.
