Philippines and China Economic and Trade Exchange Conference
LOOK: Mayor Teddy Canlas Tumang hosts the Philippines (Mexico, Pampanga) and China (Zhangzuou, Fujian) Economic and Trade Exchange Conference at Kingsborough International Convention Center, Dolores, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Mayor Tumang together with the Sangguniang Bayan of Mexico receives the delegation from Zhangzou Municipal People’s Government in Fujian Province, The Peoples Republic of China led by their Mayor, Hon. Wang Jinzu.
The highlight of the conference is the Memorandum of Undertaking (MOU) between the Municipal Government of Mexico, Pampanga Philippines and the Zhangzou Municipal People’s Government in Fujian Province, The Peoples Republic of China for the Two Countries, Twin Parks Development Project.
“It is our aim to further deepen cooperation and upliftment, eradication of poverty/promotion of human dignity, opening of broad market and development opportunities that will bring tangible benefits to the people of both countries and make more positive contribution to regional peace and prosperity,” Mayor Tumang during his welcome remarks.
With the “Two Countries, Twin Parks” Project, Municipality of Mexico Pampanga and the Zhangzou Municipal People’s Government in Fujian Province will have a better opportunity to have equality, mutual benefit and a win-win cooperation which will both benefit the government and its people.
Said project endeavors to promote mutual trade, enhance connectivity between the two countries, facilitate cultural exchange, and develop comprehensive and friendly cooperation in the areas of emerging and future technologies, park construction and industrial investment.
Hon. Wang Jinzu extended his sincerest gratitude to Mayor Tumang for the warmth and hospitality in hosting the conference. Truly, a strong relationship and partnership has blossomed between the two municipal governments.
Hon. Dennis “Delta” G. Pineda, Provincial Governor of Pampanga also graced the invitation of the Mayor. The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Philippines was represented by Mr. Zhu Min, Acting Chief, Economic Section of the Chinese Embassy. Yang Hua Hong , President , YATAI Industrial Park Inc., Aedy T. Yang , Chief Executive Officer, YATAI Industrial Park Inc. and Tim ZhouChief Executive Officer, ECOM City are some of the private partners who also attended the conference.
