PUBLIC ADVISORY | CLAYGO ORDINANCE NOW IN EFFECT IN MEXICO, PAMPANGA

A cleaner Mexico starts with shared responsibility.

Under the leadership of Mayor Ruding Santos Gonzales, the Municipal Government of Mexico, Pampanga continues to uphold policies that protect public health, promote discipline, and support a cleaner environment for every Mexicano.

The public is hereby informed that Municipal Ordinance No. 045-2026, also known as the Clean As You Go or CLAYGO Ordinance of the Municipality of Mexico, Pampanga, is now being implemented.

This ordinance covers all business establishments and public places within the Municipality of Mexico, Pampanga.

Please take note of the following important provisions:

Senior citizens are exempted from personally performing CLAYGO activities. Business establishments are encouraged to extend proper assistance and support to them.

The following establishments are also exempted from requiring customers to personally perform CLAYGO:
Fine dining restaurants
Samgyeopsal and similar grill type restaurants
Restaurants that impose a service charge

For these exempted establishments, the responsibility for cleaning tables, clearing used areas, and proper waste disposal remains with the management and staff.

Penalties for violations are as follows:

For individuals:
First offense, P300.00 fine or 1 day voluntary community service
Second offense, P500.00 fine or 3 days voluntary community service
Third and succeeding offenses, P1,000.00 fine or 5 days voluntary community service

For business establishments:
First offense, written warning and P1,000.00 fine
Second offense, P2,000.00 fine
Third offense, P2,500.00 fine and 15 day suspension of business permit
Fourth offense, revocation of business permit and permanent closure
