Effects of the Southwest Monsoon, Tropical Depression Luis, and Tropical Storm Maymay

Light to moderate rainfall continues across the Municipality of Mexico.

FLOODING SITUATION

• 25 barangays reported with flooding
• 7,016 families affected
• 28,093 individuals affected
• Flood depth ranges from 1 to 5 feet

Continuous rainfall continues to affect several low-lying communities across the municipality.

EVACUATION STATUS

• 2 evacuation centers operating
• 14 families evacuated
• 35 individuals evacuated

The Municipal Evacuation Center continues to accommodate 12 families with 27 individuals from Lagundi, Sitio Tramo.

The Dolores Piring Elementary School evacuation center is accommodating 2 families with 8 individuals.

The Sabanilla Barangay Hall evacuation center remains closed after evacuees returned to their homes.

ASSISTANCE PROVIDED

• 21 food packs distributed
• 8 sleeping kits provided
• 37 hot meals provided
• Medicines and vitamins provided to evacuees
• Health assessment, health monitoring, and stress management conducted
• Leptospirosis and dengue awareness activities conducted
• Handwashing activity conducted
• Evacuees assisted in returning to their respective homes

AGRICULTURAL DAMAGE

As of August 18, 2026, at 12:00 PM:

• 25 barangays affected
• 161 farmers affected
• 267.09 hectares of crops affected
• ₱8,217,147.77 estimated total damage

Crop damage includes:

• Rice: 250.7 hectares, ₱7,121,726.34 estimated damage
• Corn: 9.5 hectares, ₱258,821.43 estimated damage
• High Value Crops: 6.89 hectares, ₱836,600.00 estimated damage

OTHER MONITORED INCIDENTS

The overflow of the river near the San Lorenzo Bridge was monitored beginning August 17, 2026.

Roving, monitoring, and clearing operations were conducted. Accumulated garbage near the affected area was also removed.

On August 18, MDRRMO personnel conducted monitoring along Olongapo-Gapan Road and other flooded barangays.

Monitoring of major bridges continued on August 19.

Under the direction of Mayor Rodencio “Ruding” S. Gonzales, the Municipal Government continues to closely monitor flooded communities, rivers, bridges, major roads, and other low-lying areas.

The MDRRMO, MSWDO, PNP, BFP, barangay officials, health personnel, and concerned municipal offices remain on alert.

No road or bridge disruption and no power interruption were reported as of the reporting time.
