Turn-Over Ceremony of Garbage Trucks To Various Barangays in Mexico, Pampanga

LOOK: Mayor Teddy Canlas Tumang leads the turn-over Ceremony of Garbage Trucks to various Barangays in Mexico, Pampanga and presentation of Mexico new Fire Truck.
During the regular flag raising ceremony, Mayor Teddy Canlas Tumang along with the Sangguniang Bayan Members of Mexico, Pampanga turned over three (3) brand new garbage trucks to Barangays Anao, San Lorenzo and San Nicolas.
The said trucks were procured using the 20% Development Fund of the municipality. Each truck costs PHP 1,729,000.00 for a total of PHP 5,187,000.00 and were supplied by the winning bidder Autokid Truck Solutions.
In his remarks, Mayor Tumang said that these vehicles will be an additional to the number of vehicles being used in the collection and disposal of wastes in the town. The local chief executive encourages everyone to practice the proper segregation of waste.
The concerned Punong Barangays along with their Barangay Councils gladly received and accepted the garbage trucks entrusted to them.
Meanwhile, Mayor Teddy Canlas Tumang also formally presented in public the Fire truck given to the Municipality by the Bureau of Fire Protection.
The town is one of the fifteen local government units to be awarded with a new fire truck making the Municipality of Mexico with most number of serviceable fire trucks with 6 fire trucks in total in Pampanga.
Mayor Tumang also announced that the establishment and construction of a fire station at Barangay Pandacaqui is on going and will be opened for full operation as soon as the construction is done. Further, another fire station is also planned to be erected at Barangay Camuning, this Municipality.
After the presentation, the blessing of the vehicles was spearheaded by Rev. Fr. Arnulfo Magdaleno Seranno, Parish Priest of Santa Monica Parish Church.
