WASTE INSPECTION CONDUCTED IN BARANGAY CONCEPCION!

Earlier today at 7:30 A.M., the Municipality of Mexico, through the Municipal Environmental and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) led by Engr. Arvin Siron, conducted an inspection of reported illegal waste dumping in Barangay Concepcion.
This initiative is part of our continued efforts to uphold the No Segregation, No Collection policy—anchored on Republic Act No. 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000) and several key local ordinances that promote responsible waste management, prohibit littering, and ban open burning and the use of plastics. It also serves as a clear reminder to all Barangay Officials and fellow Mexicanos to strictly practice proper waste segregation.
In particular, RA 9003 Section 48 prohibits littering, throwing, dumping of waste matters in public places, such as roads, sidewalks, canals, esteros or parks, and establishments, or causing or permitting the same. Moreover, Section 50 provides that local government officials and officials of concerned government agencies who fail to comply with or enforce these rules and regulations shall be charged administratively in accordance with RA 7160 (Local Government Code) and other applicable laws.
Since February 2025, Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns have been actively implemented to inform and prepare our communities.
Now that the rainy season has arrived, it is even more crucial to adhere to waste management protocols to prevent flooding and protect public health.
Under the leadership of Mayor Ruding Santos Gonzales, the Municipality of Mexico continues to emphasize the importance of discipline—a key to our community’s progress.
